"Calm down,.....Where was your outrage and wanting Pelosi and Waters removed from Congress when our cities were being burned and looted ALL summer long,.....Billions of dollars of damage being done, people killed that were doing nothing but trying to protect their small business, including a CHILD,.......and Waters, Pelosi, and others, including the media,....egging them on and telling them protests don't have to be peaceful?? Over 17,000 arrested! A 3 hour entry into a building, with two people killed that knew full well the risk they were taking, and, at most $10,000 worth of damage, and you are all afraid of Trump? There is NO comparison. The Democrat legislators said NOTHING about the lawlessness for months while our cities and businesses were being destroyed, UNTIL the people started asking why they weren't. When Biden, hiding in his house realized, it might hurt his quest for the presidency, ONLY then did he open his two faced mouth. The ONLY reason they want Trump removed is so he cannot run again. They are afraid of an outsider that is there for the PEOPLE, instead of just collecting a paycheck FROM the people, while living in their million dollars houses, with $20,000 freezers, filled with Premium ice cream, doing back room deals with foreign countries. Reminds me of Marie Antonette,.....Only poor Marie did not know people lived differently than she did."

Your argument is a logical fallacy of false equivalency.

People were mostly PEACEFULLY protesting and were met often by amped up jack-booted #TrumpGestapo who snatched people off the streets, tear gassed them for photo ops, and instigated further violence by over reacting. Perhaps we should look to the reasons behind both sets of "Protests". Can they be contrasted and compared? In the Portland Black Lives Matter Protests why were we gathered in the streets protesting? BECAUSE FOR 8 MINUTES AND 46 SECONDS Ex-Officer Derek Chauvin kneeled upon the neck of George Floyd until he asphyxiated, despite having an ambulance call in for "medical distress: "According to the incident report, Floyd then “physically resisted arrest.” Police say it was only after they cuffed him that they realized he was “suffering a medical distress” that prompted them to call an ambulance." Yet witnesses, videos & body cams do not show him resisting arrest, they show him struggling to breathe. As one would do when breath is being squeezed out of you both internally & externally. 

He died according to medical records of "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." The medical examiner's report also details blunt-force injuries to the skin of Floyd's head, face and upper lip, as well as the shoulders, hands and elbows and bruising of the wrists consistent with handcuffs.

And yes, THERE WAS some violence and we ALL know that was wrong.

Perhaps a refresher of what America watched live, the brutal slow murder of another human being without just cause by a Police officer. Perhaps you have forgotten how that Police officer murdered this man in front of witnesses for an ALLEGED !! unproven claim of forgery. As an ex-bartender, I can tell you EXACTLY how easy it is to pass phony money. I'll be willing to bet you that you have done the same all unknowing. The crime does not warrant a death sentence. And after America watched in horror as a human being was murdered on live video before our very eyes, many many of us had finally had enough and took to the streets to demand Justice. 

Dispatch recordings: George Floyd was in cardiac arrest when EMS arrived: " The initial call started as a Code 2 to assist EMS on a scene, not the more urgent Code 3, indicating a life-threatening situation. Preliminary information given to firefighters said only that Floyd had “trauma to his mouth,” according to an incident report."

Now : they are STILL investigations regarding the motives of some of these murders. "Personal disputes and looting linked to some of the deaths." There are several incidents of far right radicals posing as Anti-Fascists in order to commit mayhem. Many of the people listed as "Killed in the Protests" were, in fact, killed for entirely unrelated reasons, or not associated with the Black Lives Matter protests.

Also, despite the pleas of Oregon's Governor for local help, 2 local sheriff's offices DENIED ASSISTANCE for political reasons. One of those Sheriffs was from my hometown County, in case you think I am speaking out of my hat. The "official claims" do not jibe with the facts as they were videoed by several Journalists, participants. WaPo's account is well sourced by police transcripts. Contrast and compare police response to this mostly peaceful protest to police response to the #CultOfTrump followers riot on Jan 6th. The Officers finally begin actively pushing the unruly violent crowd away well AFTER the 6 pm curfew. As opposed to 2 hours BEFORE called curfew as in Lafayette Square. And now let us return to the #TrumpInsurrection. In better words than mine, “The assault was fueled by more than four years of poison politics spreading deliberate misinformation, sowing distrust in our system, and pitting Americans against one another…. Wednesday's Insurrection, on the other hand, was driven specifically by #Trumpery & Co's months of lies regarding the unproven allegations of "wide spread voter fraud" -cases for which have been tossed out in 61- of 62 court cases as having no evidence. Many of these court cases were with Trump appointed judiciary.

Then after America watched in horror as an American President & his personal lawyer, assisted by 13 ambitious Senate members and 127 Ambitious CongressPersons, called for insurrection by Followers they all had spent the past 10 months ramping up convincing willful malicious malfeasance on the part of the "Deep State" IE: ANYONE WHO WASN'T A LOCK STEP TRUMP SUPPORTER have we finally had enough?  Granted, the gathering began mostly peacefully at the Ellipse, but after Giuliani & Trump whipped the crowd up, Trump ended his rally with a call to March to the Certification & take the fight too Congress, and that he would be walking right there with them.

In order to compare and contrast situations there must be an "apples-to-apples" kind of similarity. With much thanks to Bobby Lewis, Journalist for Media Matters : Here are various dishonest comparisons between Black Lives Matter, anti-fascism, and the January 6 pro-Trump insurrection -- many from the same right-wing media figures who also pushed the “voter fraud” lies that inspired the insurrectionist mob in the first place. It is fairly well lined out. Logically speaking, the comparison lies dead and stinking like 8 day old fish.
