We sit poised upon the brink of Change. I am so excited! It's a hybrid of Woodstock & The Birth of a Nation. President Obama will be inaugurated today. Yes, We Can. Yes, We Did. Hope, and Joy, and Peace and Goodwill, all the positive human emotions. I am incredibly overwhelmed! Watching history as I am here at my computer.. My Boss, (May God Bless him forever) has allowed me to play hookey to watch this incredible incredible historical event. I am weeping, I am joyful, I am CAN. I am seeing a culmination of movement of a Nation, I am seeing the 60's all grown up. I am seeing the Flower Children all dressed in Responsibility for the Future.
& I am so awestruck at what our Young people must feel! FINALLY! FINALLY! Our voice matters! My 18 years-younger Sister has never Voted, because she thought it made no matter what she said, how she Voted, what she thought. My Roomie's 17 year old grand-daughter just texted her, and said "OH MY GOD! I LOVE President Obama! My Voice will COUNT for something!" I am so happy for our young people.... To have the opportunity to witness this kind of pivotal history being made, with this President so open to listening to His Nation, OUR Nation, OUR PEOPLE.
WE ARE WHO WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!
I, Too, Sing America
by Langston Hughes
I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then.
Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--
I, too, am America.
Today, We Can.

It's amazing to see what the effects of one mans' ideals can have on a society...and on the world as a whole! I so hope President Obama comes through on those ideals and proves the doubting Thomas's wrong!
ME TOO! ME TOO!! For the first time in so long, I feel hope from our Politicians. I feel like a New Day. I shall carry that hope throughout my days!
